Mayor of Brava on official visit to the United States
Pawtucket, August 9, 2025 – Brava City Council Mayor Amandio Brito will make an official visit to the United States from August 10 to 25. The visit is part of a plan to strengthen ties with the Brava diaspora and strengthen institutional partnerships.
During his stay, the mayor will participate in a cultural evening celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Nossa Senhora do Monte Nursery School, an event of great significance for the Brava community living in the US. The celebration aims to highlight the organization's role in promoting education, culture, and identity on the island.
The President's agenda also includes meetings with Brava emigrants, with the aim of listening to their concerns, strengthening ties with their homeland, and discussing opportunities for collaboration in favor of local development.
A courtesy visit to the Mayor of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, is also planned to explore possible areas of cooperation between the two municipalities.
Amandio Brito told Bravanews that this visit reflects the Brava city council's commitment to valuing its diaspora and promoting institutional exchange at an international level.
